Arriving at La Torre and getting to the apartment
- When you arrive at the security gate, if they question you just say “RESIDENTE”. If they ask you the address, say “Mero 60 1B”.
- Have the key fob for the garage to hand and ready to open the electric garage door, it will close automatically behind you.
- The parking space is at the end of the garage parking lot (2nd to last) on the right hand side and numbered 492. Please do not use any other parking space.
- Above the parking space there is a vent to the outside. We have had instances of dripping onto car bonnets of a chalky solution that stains. Please use the car cover – this is located under the nearest storage divan when you enter the main bedroom.
- There is a storage box at the back of the parking space which has the 2 fold up bikes and accessories in. The key for the padlock is on the post box key on the plate by the main door in the apartment.
- There is a garage light switch just next to the parking space that will illuminate the entire garage.
- Head towards the door opposite the parking space for the lift or staircase. There is a light switch on the left that will light up the entrance to the lift and the staircase.
- The apartment in on level 1 and as you come out of the lift it’s the one on your right – 1B.
Entering the apartment (Mero 60 – 1B)
- When you enter the apartment there is a plate on the unit next to the door that you can use for the keys. Remember that you ALWAYS need a key when you exit the apartment, try not to lock yourself out!!! If you do, contact Happy Place. DO NOT leave a key in the back of the apartment door at any time.
- The boiler will need switching on it’s the far switch on the wall at the side of the mircrowave towards the back wall, then press the power button on the front of the boiler (see boiler instructions in gadgets)
- Pull up the shutter in the kitchen, the smaller electrical appliances will need plugging in as needed.
- To gain access to the front terrace, raise the shutter in the lounge by the switch at the right hand side of the patio window.
- Remove the covers from the furniture on the front terrace and store under the white sofa whilst staying.
- If the weather is good you can fully open the glass curtain on the terrace by sliding the bottom catch, pull down on the long handle to release at the top and pull the silver handle to open the first pane of glass. Pull/swing out each pane from the left side and push back gently against the wall, then move each pane to the end and do the same in turn to lay next to the first/previous panes. Please close the glass curtain at night, if it is too windy or if the weather looks like turning to ensure the terrace is protected especially if leaving the apartment for any length of time. If it is a breezy day it is best to leave the side window closed!
- On the back terrace the chairs and golf carts are stored under a cover. If the weather is fine, store the cover in the back storage box and place the 2x golf carts on top of this box. Additional fold up chairs and a small table are stored in the twin bedroom (behind the door) and be moved on the back terrace if weather is good.
- The 2 plugs on the floor at either side of the TV unit will need switching on this gives power to the TV, lamps, telephone and Alexa Echo.
- Open the shutters in both bedrooms, if opening the patio doors make sure the main bedroom door is pegged back securely to avoid the door slamming in the breeze.
- There is a safe to use, just ask us for location and and code.
- Pool Towels, Beach Towels and Apartment Bath/Hand Towels are in the cupboard in the bathroom.
