When its time for home, please follow these instructions:
- Check you have removed all your personal belongings from the safe.
- Check taps are fully off in the bathroom, put toilet gel around the toilet bowl and put the toilet seat/lid down.
- Take off all used bedding and place in the big laundry bag, along with any towels/tea towels used. Leave the bag by the lounge radiator ready for collection by Happy Place (our Property Managers).
- Make sure all plugs and lights switched off. Unplug the bedside table lights and flick off the extension plugs either side of the TV unit (the ‘Alexa’ on one side & internet/telephone on the other).
- Recover the chairs and golf trolleys on the back terrace. Padlock outside storage cabinet (777) and make sure secure.
- Close patio doors in the bedrooms and put down/close the shutters fully (so no light shows through). Leave the bedroom doors open, to let air flow through the apartment.
- If you have used the car cover in the garage, please return this in it’s bag behind the kitchen door.
- Return any shopping bags onto the hook behind the kitchen door.
- On the front terrace make sure the glass curtains are securely closed, fully cover the bar/table chairs with blue throws (on foot stool in the lounge), cover the corner sofa/cushions with the largest white throw (under the sofa) – this will help protect them from sunlight. Remove small plants/candles on the terrace and leave on the dining table in the living room.
- Close the patio door and put the electric shutter fully down by the electric switch on the right of the door. Close the window shutter fully too.
- Empty the fridge of all fresh and any unwanted items. It’s ok to leave anything that will not perish (beers, jams etc) until a month or so after exit but check dates on all items (ie yogurt, cheese etc) – just check that all items are in date after the next visit.
- Remove all rubbish (kitchen bin by the fridge) & recycling (under the kitchen unit) and leave a clean/new bag in the kitchen bin.
- Unplug all small electrical appliances in the kitchen (toaster, kettle etc) and switch OFF the boiler (on the front) and at the switch (on the wall at the side of the microwave).
- Close kitchen window and pull the kitchen shutter fully down.
- Ensure you have all the apartment keys before you leave (except post box key please leave this on the plate by the front door), lights are off. When exiting make sure you double lock the front door (2x turns/clicks).
